Emily White Mentors Young Mississippi Songwriters

For Aspiring Artists and the Sound of Success

Meridian, MS.,  June 23, 2021  -- Emily White, rising country music star and acclaimed Mississippi songwriter, will be mentoring ten lucky high school juniors and seniors about the art of songwriting on June 24th at The MAX in Meridian, MS. The talented students were all nominated by their music teacher to participate in this two-week experience exposing the students to professional artist mentors, intensive training in their field, and the opportunity to create an outstanding portfolio with which to pursue a career in music.

"I am so honored to be taking part in this program to help these students pursue their dream and perfect their craft," says Emily White.  "The program may significantly change the life path of this select group of students and I look forward to sharing what I have learned to inspire them to further realize their creative dreams and pursue a career in the entertainment industry. We'll be focusing on songwriting and I'll share some of the successes and failures I've experienced so far in my own personal journey as I navigate the music industry myself. "

More About the Summer Pilot Program at The MAX

Picturing Success and The Sound of Success are educational collaborations between public and private school educators and The MAX. The program pairs students with professional artist mentors who will teach and guide the student and help develop a portfolio of artwork for submittal to higher education programs. The Success programs are sponsored by grants from both private and public sources. The goal of the program is to provide quality free counseling and training in the arts to students who otherwise could not afford professional guidance and training.
